Sophie Turns 2

Yesterday at 10:11 am Sophie officially turned 2 years old.  I cannot believe that my little baby girl is 2.  We celebrated her birthday on Sunday night since Dan was going to be out of town yesterday.  Sophie has been completely obsessed with princesses lately so we decided to have a "prinpess" party.  We had "prinpess" cake and ice cream.

Some of our family and friends were able to celebrate with us and as always had chaotic fun!  We were lucky enough to have auntie Lily here too, who was visiting.  Sophie blew out her candle like a pro and really enjoyed eating her cake and ice cream.

Then, she pointed to her presents and said "open."

She knew exactly what to do.
Sophie completely enjoyed herself and stayed up until 10 in her crib playing with her new things.  Happy Birthday Sophie!!!

We Are Off To The Mediterranean

So, Dan and I are off tomorrow.  We have really been wanting to celebrate our 10 year anniversary in a big way and that is just what we are doing.  Tomorrow morning we are flying to Venice.
From there we will be catching a cruise ship and venturing to Dubrovnik, Croatia;  Kusadasi(Ephesus), Turkey;  Santorini, Greece; and Corfu, Greece.  I am so excited and so thankful to my parents who will be taking care of the kids.  Here is a little preview of some of the places we are going.  :)

Pictures of Kate

After church yesterday, Kate was showing me how good she could pose for pictures and wanted me to take some pictures of her.  She is such a little ham!!!

Our First Soccer Season

I found out from a friend of mine that one of the local churches sponsers a soccer league for kids ages 3-6.  I thought it would be fun for the triplets to try soccer.  They were all very excited to play and this past week they had their first practice and first game.  It was quite a challenge trying to find shin guards and socks that would fit my little munchkins, but I did find some that work.

The kids enjoyed playing and are learning the rules of soccer.  I hope they continue to enjoy the season.  I was certainly entertained just watching little 4 year olds running all over the field, staring off into space, and following the ball like a mob.  :)

The Stats Are In

Yesterday I took Luke, Lily, and Kate to their 4 year old doctor appointment. I thought they would have their normal exam and maybe have 1 shot. Well, there was a lot more involved to this appointment than I thought. They had their exam, a hearing test, a vision test, a hemoglobin test, MMR vaccine, varivax booster, and the flu mist vaccine. Oh, and they wanted a urine test too, but this didn't happen-maybe next time. Can you imagine trying to get a urine sample from three 4-year olds? Anyways, it was a very traumatic doctor appointment with a lot of tears. :( They all saw each other getting shots and were fighting over who was going to go first. I think they all wanted to walk out the door. I was so glad when it was over and so were they. We got a treat, every body had Motrin, and they fell asleep until 5:00. Whew!!!

They also got measured. Here are their stats:

Luke: height 40 3/4 inches
weight 34 pounds
head circ. 51.5 cm

Lily: height 37 1/4 inches
weight 28 pounds 8 ounces
head circ. 50.5 cm

Kate: height 39 1/2 inches
weight 29 pounds 4 ounces
head circ. 51 cm
