Good Night Hugs

Before bed at night Luke, Lily, and Kate like to give hugs and kisses to each other. It is so sweet and sometimes can go on for several minutes. Lily will keep saying, "I need my hugs" with her arms stretched out. Maybe they just keep doing it so they can stay up later :) I love to watch them hug each other. Here is a small example of tonight's hugs.

Sharing

Sharing is a very hard concept for 2 year olds and my three have been forced to share almost every thing since they were born. They are not always happy about this either. Well, the other day at the park I asked Kate to share her banana and she shared so well. The following pictures document her sweetness.
I also wanted to show how big and cute Sophie is getting. I can't believe how fast babies grow. When she flashes her gummy smile, it melts my heart.

Easter

Well, the Easter Bunny came to our house and the kids loved their Easter baskets. They also loved going on an Easter egg hunt. Lily was scared at first because she thought the Easter Bunny was at our house, but we explained to her that he had already left. She was happy to have the treats he left though.Even Sophie got an Easter basket. Isn't she cute on her first Easter? I can't believe she is already 5 months old. I wanted to get a picture of the kids in their Easter outfits before church. Here are a few of our many attempts to get three 2-yr olds and a 5 month old to look at the camera at the same time. Oh well!

Funny things they say

I have to write about some of the funny things my trio says these days. I love when Luke is doing something he is not supposed to do and Lily says, "That make Jesus soooooo sad Lukey." This cracks me up. In response, Luke says that he wants to "make Jesus happy." Cute, huh? Lily is quite the tattle tale lately. It sure is cute to hear a 2-year old tattle though(well a couple times). I always here her in the back of the car saying, "Lukey stop singing" or "Be quiet Lukey." The other thing Lily likes to say is someone or something is "bugging me bad."

Luke loves to clean up. As soon as I say that we need to clean up the toys, he is the first to jump up and sing, "clean up clean up, every body every where..." He sings the clean up song the whole time he is cleaning. He even puts toys where they go(in the correct bin). The girls will clean up a couple things, but they leave the rest to Luke. He loves cleaning up and I love that he loves to :)

Then there is Kate-she talks non-stop. She gives you a play by play of every thing that you are doing and will repeat(and repeat) it till you acknowledge what she is saying. I have also discovered that she listens to every thing you say. When I am at a red light I hear her say, "come on green light, let's go." I also hear things like, "come on people, let's go" when we are driving. I wonder where she hears these things? :)

Newport Beach

This past weekend we joined Heidi, Dave, and the kids for a weekend away in Newport Beach. The kids were excited to stay in a hotel and all Lily could talk about was "building a sandcastle." Unfortunately the weather was a little cold, but we were still able to play at the beach a couple times. This was Sophie's first time at the beach and I am sure she loved the ocean air. We also went to Downtown Disney one night and checked out all the shops. World of Disney is such a fun store. It made the kids(and me) excited for our trip to Disneyland that we are taking in June.

Naptime???

Nap time has become a bit of a nightmare lately. I put the kids down for a nap at 1 pm. There was a lot of noise-laughing, screaming, jumping. This is what I saw at 1:45pm. It appears that nap time has become party time with 3 kids sharing a room. If I had a big enough house I would separate all of them, but I don't so.....this is what happens sometimes. At least they fall asleep fast at night-by then they are exhausted(so am I.)

Ring around the rosie

The triplets new favorite thing is to play ring around the rosie. They love it and they can do it together. It is so cute!

Actual pictures

In recent weeks I have noticed that my kids draw actual pictures, not just scribbles anymore. It is so cute to see their imaginations and creativity beginning to evolve. I just had to document these cute drawings.
